Protecting our forests is more important than replanting them.
A new house can be more effectively designed for long-term sustainability than an older one can. Yet preserving the existing buildings and their materials and furniture minimizes the use of new, finite resources that a complete rebuild (demolish and rebuild new) would need to replace them.

“A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. It even included a short ferry which our kid loved. The place was super clean, so even the shared bathroom didn’t bother us. We were extremely taken by how they had thought of every little detail. The place was really nicely renovated and my husband, who loves saunas, said it was superb. The mattresses and bedding were from Porin Villa & Peite which I’m a big fan of and the breakfast was organic and included everything you need for a healthy start to a day. So all in all, a very nice stay that I can wholeheartedly recommend.”
